ICW - Building mechanisms for civil society to monitor open contracting and building capacity of CSOs to analyse data

Indonesia Corruption Watch's (ICW) project in Indonesia will facilitate transparency and accountability of procurement by implementing open contracting and increasing public participation in procurement monitoring. Jakarta and Bandung will be the pilot areas. This province and this municipality are willing to participate, and they are on track for an open government. They need facilitators to prepare an open contracting policy and to build mechanisms for civil society to participate in monitoring the open contracting policy. Moreover, this project will build capacity of civil society organisations (CSO) in analysing public contracting data, so they can use it for lobbying and public services advocacy purposes.
